As far as I know all Massive Multiplayer Online Games only have a limited GÇ£free to playGÇ¥ model/trial and will cost money when you want to advance. That there is a way to pay your sub with ingame currency is rare among MMOGs.

I started EVE seven months ago and I beg to differ. While skills were added, only the time to learn them ALL increased, the time to learn a subset and start into an EVE career got reduced as far as I know. New players start with far more starting skills and skillpoints than they used to when EVE was only a few years old. And some skill requirements were lowered like racial Battleship V to IV when training for a carrier. The 30 day skills are for vets that exactly know what they want to do in EVE, not for newbies or players training into their first EVE professions. Those long trains are like a warning sign: DonGÇÖt train into this if you are not 100% certain what you do.

As a non-native speaker I am quite fluent in English as a second language but I have no clue what you want to tell us here. If I ever got the feeling that a company has a good laugh together with their players it is CCP. And yes, salaries and servers have to get paid.

I sense a strong GÇ£bittervetGÇ¥ syndrome here. But if you ask me it has nothing to do with how skills are handled in EVE but solely with the fact that you spend all those years in highsec with mining and industry. LetGÇÖs assume you could have trained all three slots at the same time. What would have been different? Personally l love the EVE game mechanics for three things: That my pilots advances while donGÇÖt have the time to log in, that all my fits work without endless hours of grind for loot and that nearly everything can be blown up.
